My name is Douglas Rintoul, and I am currently a 1L law student at the University of Florida’s Levin School of Law.
That’s me and my girlfriend to the right. If you’d like to learn more about me, there’s a link to my LinkedIn page here and a link to my Facebook page here.
I decided to start this blog as a way of communicating with other people who are going through some of the same things that I am, as a young upcoming lawyer. I also thought this might be a good professional development tool, if I am being completely honest.
A blog is basically a superior, extended, much more interesting version of a resume (or CV) for most people who own them, a piece of their heart and mind that colleagues or potential employers can examine at their leisure. For a much less interesting, more literal version of my resume, click here.
You may have a lot in common with me, if you recently graduated from college with substantial debts, recently decided to attend graduate school, or are interested in the law.
Of course, I have a variety of other interests, which I will blog about from time to time, but these areas (money, higher education, and general life as a law student) will be the primary focus of my writing.
I’d love to hear from anyone who enjoys my blog, or simply has ideas for how I could make it better, so if you have such ideas, you can hit me up using the contact form below.
Please enjoy.
Best,
Douglas
